anyway we have a new rod this year....longer still!!! with luck i might get to fish with something nearly 6 foot! LOL!

 

nah i fancy bow fishing because i have a decent PSE compound bow at home that i love to shoot...i also import bowhunter mags from stateside and enjoy reading them...so i quite fancy bow fishing

i said a while ago in another post that if this is what robsons uneducated (from an angling point of view) audience think fishing is all about then i would hate to see the state of the banks when that audience think about buying a rod and reel and think its acceptable to behave like him.

 

thats only going from his first series. i refuse to watch after that one.

 

here was me thinking that tv programs content was aimed at the people who actually take an interest on such matters. thats why i only like to watch informative fishing programs on what we actually do here in the UK. more programs like the complete angler that was on last night is what i would like to see.

Does anyone else not get over excited when they catch a good fish?

 

Or let out any sort of emotion after your well thought out plans have paid off?

 

I guess most of you are just to cool to be excitable when enjoying your travels.

I still enjoy it like a little kid, just in a less sulky and irritating manner than him. Horses for courses, I suppose... :rolleyes:

Bring back John Wilson. Now there is a man who trod on his own rods in his boat and picked up a carp and dropped it while saying 'Well would you believe it'!

I know at OBH one day i was there he fell out of the boat while having a pike on his line. It never got on TV but it was hilarious and he had to give the rod to the cameraman. Well the camera man lost his grip and dropped his camera in the water . Well he managed to retrieve the boat and land it. he never got annoyed at all and did that chuckle and shook his head and said 'Well what a beautiful pike they are in beautiful condition and then the camera crew shouted out its all cut and he said to his soaking cameraman 'Well would you adam and eve it' :D :D :D :D
