BC,

I don't know what kind of "nightmare" you would have if you invited the "animal protection" folks to move her to a more suitable location?

"animal protection" folks that have broken the law!

Eating wild caught fish is good for my health, reduces food miles and keeps me fit trying to catch them........it's my choice to do it, not yours to stop me!

Worms

Surely not. We have duck and goose mama's moved all the time. As long as it is in the bird's best interest and a hazard to commerce or health and safety of the public.

All,

What do you call those duck eggs that have been buried for a while? They're awful!! (in general I don't like duck but we ate duck eggs all the time in my youth). Gues that's why I have an appointment with a nephrologist Wed.

Phone

Phone,

Looks like mam has done a runner been back to the boat this afternoon and she has left the eggs its very cold here so they it doesnt look good off to sea in morning so i will be down at the boat at 6.30am she might be back i hope so after all that effort she had laying those eggs.

Not in the UK Phone, all breeding birds are protected against killing and destruction of eggs and nests. Move one and prepare to get a big fine or even a custodial...except in the open season of course, you can blast the tits off ducks!

I had a Duck once nest within a bonfire at a House I lived in in Derby.

I like roast Duck and Duck Eggs but I stayed my hand and allowed the Duck to raise her brood.

How very big of of you.

The problem isn't what people don't know, it's what they know that just ain't so.
