yep using the prices here http://www.sportsmansguide.com/net/browse/pistol-ammo-22-ammo.aspx?c=95&s=903&rnds=4294967158&kec=2 even if it was all .22lr your looking at a $40000 investement, start chucking in some bigger calibres or specialised rounds (glaser, hydrashok, SXT) and you could be looking at hundreds of thousands and possibly into the millions of dollars.

I think you'd have problems getting issued with a normal firearms ticket to hold a hundred firearms and a million rounds of ammo in the UK Worms, you might get it as a RFD but I would have thought thats about it. I know when I held mine I was licenced for five firearms and approx 10000 rounds of ammunition and I knew people who were ticketed for quite a bit more but not those sort of numbers.

As for Kens comment that the only reason to hold such weapons is to inspire terror, well thats complete shiite of the worst tabloid inspired kind i'm afraid..

I'm ticketed for 1800 rounds not including a theoretical unlimited amount of powder and ball for the muzzle loading gear and unlimited again for reloading my own which is what I do exclusively with the .303.
