Nice shot but for me focus is on the leaves just infront of the bird instead of the bird.

Tough to catch them just right but I tend to focus on the top of the head to allow auto focus enough contrast to lock on, then reframe from there.

Nicely framed shot though!

........and if you look really carefully you can see the three Goblins that killed it. ;)

 

Nice pic Judy, (Kiri is right about the focus - although I aim for the eye), it can be difficult when they're in foliage and branches but it does look so much better than a feeder shot - try manual focus if you haven't already.

Nice shots Judy. As said, focus is a bit in front of the bird, try zooming in to focus on bird only, and then zoom out to frame shot.

Nice, have you got the camera set for single centre point focus ?

have not got a clue i have been concentrating on shutter speed and f number!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
