I'm an atheist, where do you want me to go?

They are not living by the ideals of any country or any religion. They are nutters, false religious zealots who use a fine and noble religion to justify utterly depraved acts of callous barbarity.

We are not all CHRISTIANS, some of us don't feel the need for invisible friends.

I think the reason more people didn't respond, was out of sheer shock, and disbelief at what they were witnessing. Despite media reports of increasing violence on our streets it's still a rare thing to actually witness it, especially at this level.

As to the causes and solutions to this type of attack, I agree with much of what this guy says.

Hi mate

The poor young man that was mutilated in broad day light laying in the street was the reason why no one reacted poeple where scared!

If you are not trained to deal with traumatic situations you just shut down and watch or run away I've been a bouncer for years before we all became door supervisors and got all warm and fluffy and can hold my own in a confrontation although im bit old and unfit now . But thankfully amid all the crap I have dealt with over the years and the people that I have faced down in a gamult of violent situations I've never had to deal with someone beheading someone in the street. And I'm not sure if I would have done any different to be honest! maybe spontaneously I would have had a go but if I had time to think no I doubt it. Defianatly not without a weapon and a belly full of beer.

Those women should be recognised for the bravery they displayed. I'm not sure I would have had it in me. You can't be too quick to judge Paul, an old pall of mine sadly passed now was a Sargent in the gaurds who experienced combat in the Middle East he witnessed a women killed at the end of his road by her estranged husband quite grusumly he was in his early sixties at the time and beat his self up for years for freezing when he felt he should have acted I bet there are plenty of men from that group of onlookers who will have to deal with the same emotions.

Someone once said to me "Dont worry It could be worse." So I didn't, and It was!

انا آكل كل الفطائر

I made a vow today, to never again argue with an Idiot they have more expieriance at it than I so I always seem to lose!

your right and that's what I was aiming at in my post.

I wonder how many of us would have reacted differently; I would like to think I could....but in the end.....I guess you never know.
