carefull that lure fishing bug gets very expensive....well done on the PB

We are not putting it back it is a lump now put that curry down and go and get the scales

have I told you abouit the cruise control on my Volvo ,,,,,,,bla bla bla Barder rod has it come yet?? and don`t even start me on Chris Lythe :bleh::icecream:

Nice one mate, Lure fishing can be very very enjoyable way to kill a couple hours :)

Where about did you go ? As I am from Liverpool and generally go the canal for them , yet to catch bet had plenty if perch on the lures well done too

Indeed it is, but it gets harder when you have 70 years of PBs to beat !

Congrats.

6lb is a nice size pike to catch. Big enough to be fun without requiring heavy gear.

 

Remember the lesson though, it's one that often works and is what our lure nut cousins on the other side of the pond refer to a a change bait. If a pike fails to get hooked a couple of times on a lure that's big, bright or erratic, don't spook him by putting the same lure over him again, change to something a little smaller, slower and less erratic. he'll often nail it.
