Hi Elton,

Nice to see your back, how was the trip??

The last thing I expected when I came to this forum, was the unnecessary bickering that has sadly taken place, and the accusations therein against me by others.

I would love to draw a line under it,because its not good reading, and not good for the Anglers Net.

However I stick to my guns, the moderators need to be more responsible, and not so ready to accuse people.

Light hearted banter is great, but some of this stuff is out of hand, and I was not the starter of it all.

Its not that extreme,HONEST.....lol...and yes we are safe minded.Take a look at the Kayak Fishing sites and be more intrigued.....LOL. :D:D:D

I think that you won't mind if I stick my oar in.... no pun intended. Having read the thread, I think that perhaps yakity-yak got a little overexcited and SHOUTED every time he mentioned a kayak. I think, that while trying to convert everybody (whether they wanted to or not), he got a trifle overheated and sounded like he was touting. I think the best thing we can do is forget about previous threads and start again.

"Defermation of charactor".... do you mean "Defamation of character"?

Spelling is the first thing to go when you get your lugs full of salty water!!!

Seriously, surely it`s time to wrap up this argument before things turn really nasty and friends start taking sides against one another.

Personally I much prefer a canadian canoe for fishing from, especially for pike.

That aside I am a tad amazed at how this, and the original 'yak' thread went. Yakity Yak seems to be keen on 'yaks, so, where is the problem? Some folk are keen on those tube things. Seem to remember that subject went ahead without WWIII taking place.

Is there such a thing as an 'Angling Yak'? By that I mean a purpose built job.

Hi peter Waller,

Yes there are Angling yaks.

There are also some, being developed specifically for Sea Fishing.I will be posting some pictures for people interested,as soon as i figure how to do it.

There are some interesting sites to visit on the net, under Kayak Fishing. There is a wealth of info there from some very experienced users of yaks. Some with years of experience.

The Canadian Canoe is a great craft,Its a relaxing and quiet way to fish, isnt it ??

Besides being close to nature you can reach spots that would maybe, be out of reach for the bank fisherman.

I hope you have continued success, and good sport from your Canadian.

Yakity - Yak:

You SO CALLED moderators should tread very carefully before makeing such comments about people without thinking first, and certainly without solid proof. This is nothing less than Defermation of Charactor.

Its time Elton got a grip on you SO CALLED Moderators, your out of hand and have to much to say for yourselves about other people.

Im glad to see there are other people here who see you for what you are.

I take exception to that, Yakity. I've been through all the threads concerning kayaks, and have not seen any instance where one of us SO CALLED Moderators has targeted you. As for us SO CALLED Moderators being out of hand and having too must to say for ourselves - excuse me whilst I roll about the floor laughing my bottom (qv.) off  I'm glad to see that other people here see us for what we really are :)

Yakity - Yak:

As for you asking Elton to place some links to Kayak sites, this wouldnt be a way for you to open the back door for the 10 that you were supposed to be impoting would it,useing me as a screen.

Lets wait and see on that one shall we.

SPIRIT OF THE SITE MY BACKSIDE.

If you want to advertise on AnglersNet, there are now two ways of doing so. You can either arrange for a permanent advert in the links page (contact Elton for details), or you can post a message on the relevant forum (you can tell which ones they are, they are not moderated....).

Tight mooring lines

PS. This thread is going nowhere fast and this SO CALLED Moderator is threatening to close it unless it can make a serious contribution to either AnglersNet or angling.
