Needless to say that the M1 is closed, it's probably necessary in this instance but it seems to be de rigeur these days whether the problem is a terrorist attack or Old Joe's pushbike has a puncture.

I'm just watching BBC News and they've stated there's no report of a plane being involved - obviously planes would have been seen in the viciinity being so close to Luton Airport.

Currently being treated as an accident but we'll just have to wait and see.

The latest news is that all personnel from one firm on the site have been accounted for - let's hope that it will be the same for all the employees.

Elton,

I think that should be phrased 'according to news sources' the police are just about to hold a news conference but they wouldn't have investigated it yet - they just state so far it appears to have been an accident.

I did hear a distant explosion of sorts and when I went out a couple of hours ago I could see the black cloud and I'm about 10 miles away I'd guess. Can't see it now but I think the winds blowing it away from me.

Rob.
