Vagabond - you can leave a motor outside the gates for a quick exit - only prob is don't leave the gear in it!

Thing is it's to prevent camper's kit disapearing in the night see - seems the local fairy's & aliens get up to to high jinks at night - now't to do with 'traveling' types at all.

Actual true story! the other week a nice new caravan was 'spirited' away from a north forest site. The little imp's carried a stolen car across a ditch to get onto the site and drove out smashing the gates!

Local rumor say's its on the Ferry that morning & sold in France.
