I pay $40-odd for a fishing licence each time I visit Texas, and pay whatever additional stamps are required (eg $17 extra to fish for seafish as well as freshwater). One (quite rightly) gets crucified if not in possession of the right licences/stamps to fish or hunt.

 

I hope Mr Cheney gets the same fine as would anyone else in that situation.

I didn't realise you needed a licence to shoot Dan Quayle in Texas.... I'd have thought you'd be a public hero for doing so.

I heard an official from Texas Park and Wildlife the other morning. She said that because the Upland Game Bird stamp was a new requirement (less than a year old) violators were only being warned at this time.
