Bucket Mania!

During a recent thread on bait storage I realised what a bucket freak I am!!

Im the proud owner of some of the most expensive tackle storage boxs/systems available,so why do I insist /prefer a massive assortment of ice cream tubs,Tuperware boxs and buckets of all shapes and sizes!

I have been known to purchase some food items purely to get the container! A prime example is when ASDA or the likes sells the plastic boxs of fairey cakes (even got different coloured lids for those who wish to colour code! and a fetching green for the traditionalist!) for 80p!

Buckets ,Ive got them in every size imaginable and from ultra cult "realtree" ones to bright yellow chip oil and about everything else in between!

They are great! You can carry your baits in a big one and use it as a seat! Take your gear in them in the boat and all stays dry, even if it goes over board (somthing for the owners of expensive cameras to consider)The stuff in side is protected as the container is rigid. They are light. On the beach you can hang them off your tripod filled with shingle to steady it and empty it out and carry your catch home in them! They dont rust, rot (er some are bio degradeable and start to go brittle and break down after a few years, I get quite distraught when a favourite "dies") or tear!No ones going to nick one!

Who else likes them or am I just some kind of sad freak? God if Fox made a bucket I would be in Heaven.......

And thats my "non indicative opinion"!

Newt, on your first link I was intrigued by the last item (as you stated) The Tornado seat. It is described as having 360 degree access owing to the ball bearing fitted!!!

I must confess, on first reading the name and description I thought we were looking at anglers portable commodes!!!! Come on.......360 degree access!!! :headhurt:

...and not just "360 degree access" -

"24/7 360 degree access" - a marketing ploy missed there

...and with camo screen for the shy (although that might mean it is difficult to locate in a hurry :( )

Could be a bait bucket for those over stocked waters, where I think you could put a piece of s**t on the hook and still catch :)

Angling is more than just catching fish, if it wasn't it would just be called 'catching'......... John

I will admit to having a garage filled with various types of containers and buckets.

Even worse is the fact that some of the brighter ones have been camouflaged with brown tape and black marker pens!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And a last confession is that I keep open packets of expander pellets in old metal sealable tea/coffee/suger containers.
