You folks are awesome.

We only have X-men and X-rays and those sorts of boring things.

The idea of X-burgers is seriously exciting.

I think they're a bit like fortune cookies, except that, instead of a slip of paper, you can expect to find anything from half a mouse to a human finger. :)

If X-rated in the UK means a film, book, comment that is sexual, explicit, raw, and often not worth wasting time on, the meaning is the same.

We have a movie rating system that tags a movie as

G = general audiences so no bad language, no violence, no sex, no fun (usually)

PG = parental guidance so there is a tiny smidge of one or more of the above.

R = restricted so no persons under a certain age unless they are in the company of a parent or legal guardian. Could possibly be due to excess violence but more often, foul language or so-called "soft porn" content

X = no one under a certain age (21 most places I think) will be admitted. Almost always from content that includes very graphic sex scenes.

Ah, I see - the UK scrapped its U, A, and X certificate system in favour of 12, 15 and 18 age limitations some years ago. Getting in underage now wouldn't have the same frisson as it did with "X" films....

Think we might still have PG though...I don't go to the cinema very often. :)

Pity Alan isn't going to be there, you'd have loved his x-burgers (especially if you like a stomach-pump for dessert :D ).

Only kidding (obviously). Alan, your burgers and unidentifiable chicken things were really tasty ;)

Thanks, Orca - I said I didn't go very often and I'm obviously even more out of date than I thought! :)
