I can testify to Orkney waters is every bit as good as far as boat fishing is concerned...

Just a shame i couldnt find a single decent shore venue :( I soppose up there finding the good marks involves having some means of transport - Which i did not have.

Shaun and Lee or any AN angler who can teach us something and fancies a trip to Stronsay, have a look at the open invite on our web site:

http://www.stronsay.co.uk/seasports/fishing

If you come in the summer we can include a trip or two on private boats and you can also add to that we may even buy you a pint but we do need someone experienced who can teach us something!!!

Bob

PS If you are interested and want to see what our beaches are like just go to www.stronsay.co.uk

The first two are of Nick,Shaun,Lee and last but not least....Karina,the third is of a Pharoese Longliners rear end, with the cod drying in the wind.

No 4 is of a visitor to the harbour, it was massive.....more in a minute

At Norrie age recovery takes time :D

Well done to one and all. Would love to make one of the trips up there soon.

This year with Lymington, Dartmouth and various other trips I am reasonably well covered for fishing. However a suggestion for next year ----why not go to Scabster and Orkney -say a days shore and a days boat in neach location. I for one can drive and take a couple of others. Just a thought :D

A bad days fishing is better than a good day at the office. Tight lines all.
