How would you react ?

We had an influx or foreigners at work just after the redundancy situation was announced and people started to drift off to other jobs.

These people had cars provided for travel to and from work and most of them seemed to have mobile phones.

The daughter of one of our work-mates, works in the local Social Security office and told him that the foreigners have gone to the top of the social housing list.

He was the trade union shop steward for the lorry drivers.

" A man see's what he wants to see and disregards the rest"

That probably applies to all of us, including me, I know that some of the people that end up on our shores are desperate and deserve help, equally there are those that do not,.

I know there are "Ethnic Brits" (Chesters description) that are desperate and deserve help but are pushed to the back , it seems parity does not exist...and this is the biggest bone of contention for Brits, the system is unfair and does discriminate, the only thing in our power is to keep lobbying our local MPs, moaning on here may make you feel better but the net result is ZERO, please all of you DO SOMETHING CONSTRUCTIVE to change things for the better.

I am a match angler .....not an anti-Christ!!!]

Ithink our pensioners should be treated much better and that pensions should be increased

I think it is a national disgrace that pensioners have to sell their houses to pay for their care.

I think it is disgraceful that the long term sick and their carers are treated so badly.

I think it is appalling that our young people can't find somewhere decent to live.

I think our goverment are a disgrace.

But none of these things have anything to do with immigration or asylum seekers!

The departments and the funding are completely different! - FACT

If you got rid of every asylum seeker it would not make one penny difference to pensioners! - FACT

If you got rid of every immigrant the pensioners wouldn't have anyone to look after them and the country would grind to a halt in a matter of hours, - FACT

Most asylum seekers are not single young men - FACT

Asylum seekers are not given mobile phones by goverment departments - FACT

Asylum seekers are not given cars - FACT

Asylum seeker get only 70% of the benefit paid to a non working "ethnic" brit - FACT

Asylum seekers do not go to the top of the housing queue - FACT

If anyone would like to refute any one of the above facts please feel free to do so but this time produce some sort of evidence.

Define reliable

You have seen a local governments response and you have seen a senior police officers response, both in print.

What would be reliable in your eyes?

Heres another one. This has links to the relevant goverment legislation, but I suppose that isn't "reliable" either.

Reliable seems to mean anything you want to believe.

Her's another, although I suppose Oxfam are just a bunch on unreliable PC loonies

Let's see just one document (other than a BNP pamphlet) that supports any of the claims made.

Do you not believe that the government have secrets? That's why they're called secrets :P:P:P:P

Do you actually believe this is a free country? What's free?:rolleyes:

Try reading what I said again. Of course the government has secrets and tries to cover-up "inconvenient" news stories. Because we live in a free country, there are any number of websites that seek to draw attention to these if the owners of the website considers that they should not be secrets but should be in the public domain. Can you please explain to me why there are several websites clearly stating that free phones and cars are not given to asylum seekers, but, as far as anyone has yet been able to ascertain, only one source for the story that they *are*, which is a leaflet from the BNP?

If you need an example of evidence that we live in a free country, how about being able to search the web and find websites that offer every shade of opposition to the government, Royal Family, etc. Do you think that you can do that in China?

I expect that you know the story of the blind men and the Elephant, Ant, but if not, then it's here:

You can dig out as many links as you wish, doesn't detract one bit from what I know and have seen.

I don't know if asylum seekers are put to the top of housing lists. But I do know that their are private companies that are contracted by the government to house them, I even know that at least one of these companies bought up a whole street of houses in stoke, modernised them and used them to house asylum seekers. I've even been in one of these houses and seen the facilities they have.

They do not pay bills of any kind, no water rates, council tax, tv licence, gas, electricity, phone etc etc.

Where do you think all this money comes from, and don't forget the contracted companies are surely also making a profit out of this.

You don't have to believe what I say, i'm not asking you to. But to ridicule and fob-off my experiences in both blinkered and foolhardy.

The reason I can produce so many links is that there are plenty to choose from

The same search ( try it, just type asylum seekers benefit into google) produces no evidence whatever to show that any of the facts I claimed are wrong.

I find that strange, considering these claims are "known" by so many people
