Snatcher:

Thanks for the info Davy. Also been told that there are peregrine falcons on the Mull. How would you identify those,by their speed?

Hiya,

Your normal view of a Peregrine will be a small speck high up following the Coastline, usually gliding with bouts of fast wing beats. They normally go un noticed unless you know what your looking for. :)

G'day...

My garden stops at the edge of the Beauly Firth - in fact I think my deeds say that I own the land to the Spring High Tide mark! Never fished off the foot of the garden tho I have seen large fish moving a few yards out in summer. Likely to be sea trout or maybe salmon.

The webcam is in my office window and looking down the garden.

WebCam

(Tugmistress - let me know if you find a decent webcam as like you, my cheap job does not do justice to the views... )

Snatcher

If you want to see Red Kites the Chopwell Woods is the place, seriously.

Long Eared Owls and Merlins in the fields behind St Mary's Island leading up to Hartley.

Pergrines are all over the North East there used to be a pair on the cranes at Wallsend. Goshawks, Kielder Forest no need to go as far as Mull unless you want to see White tailed Sea Eagles.
