Challenge wrong again mate, we are talking about the over 10mtr fleet running out of quota not the under 10mtr fleet thats according to most of the skippers but they wouldnt know nowt would they, the under 10mtr fleet dont really have any impact on stocks any way .

I do apologise I thought that the information you had was regarding under ten mtr boats.

By the way I do respect what the skippers say. I did work with most of them.

If you’re trying to surmise that in anyway I was trying to discredit them then you’re wrong.

Don’t even go there.

As for money? You’re the one who has brought it up.

If you don’t like the prices that john and Michele charge then I suggest you start doing it for a living and then perhaps you would appreciate that what they charge and what they offer are completely different to what you do.

Regards.

As long as the anglers are happy with there days or weeks fishing and they all keep coming back, to try and have the good days and they accept the not so good days.

Then we should all be happy.

That’s unless somebody comes along and says “it all stops now” ?

Yes my dear Moto, excellent info on Whitby trips from years ago, but we are now in the 21st century, you can always ring me for advice as you know but it's basically a case of what JB (Chieftain) says and Challenge. There are also 2 good articles in 2 magazines this month re fishing out of Whitby by Big Cod and I agree with what he is saying but as you know, in the deeper water and for off shore, Chieftain is a different kettle of fish (sorry for pun). Yes I will sit back and say 2006 was a good year for me and the people who fished with me as I caught my personal best of 33lb and it's like Challenge says '2006 will be remembered'. No photos of you yet with big fish? It's not about conservation, its about putting bums on seats or people on boats and that's what the Whitby charter fleet need. All this b******t about conservation - fish hard and catch as much as you can. Thank you. Billy No Mates.

I've just deleted several posts that were becoming too vitriolic. I'm sure that even in Whitby, it's possible to discuss something without resorting to personal attacks and petty namecalling....
