Hi Elton.

 

There appears to be an increaseing number of people getting interested in kayak fishing.

We are also getting some new Kayak fisherman visiting the A.N. forums.

How do you feel about opening a Kayak Fishing topic.

Just a thought, but if you split it you risk losing a lot of "passing traffic" for what is currently a finite area?

Nice as a Kayakfishing forum sounds I think its a bit early yet; give it a couple of years.

i dont see 2 people as a lot

maybe a rant forum could be better ,at least a clue would be gained to its content or an intrepid forum where i could speak to myself

maybe a "other" forum for the plastic logfloater and bait boat and posh car user could be set up so its users could brag about how good they are

Yak - we've tried splitting off forums before and watched other sites do it as well. Usually a bad move.

But seemed like a good idea at the time.

Yak, leave it on the sea fishing section for now, it is getting a lot of interest. Put a new section and you will lose a lot of readers IMO.

 

With your experience etc we can all learn from your input. :cool:

I think kayak fishing, even on a fishing site is decidely `minority`?

You want a dedicated forum for it. Try posting on a newsgroup. Point folk to this site.

Then get some of them to become members! Or give Elton a little advertising revenue?

This site`s existence is due mainly to Eltons financial support, and forbearance of free-loaders.

I`m sure Elton would put a kayak forum onboard, if only the requestors made a contribution?

Or maybe folk think Elton provides this site to advertise his multi-national interests?

There is no such thing as a free lunch! Try getting the odd Kayak dealer on site! After all he`s your supplier.
