Some stormy ones from this evening

Recommended Posts

Managed to finish work early today and get out and get some pics of the gales, which are set to stay for a few days. It was absolutely howling down there and really hard to keep sea spray off the front of the lens, I found a bit of loo paper was much better at cleaning it off than a lens cloth which just tended to smear the wet everywhere:-

Nice photos. You just can't beat the sea for 'atmosphere' in a shot.

Thanks everyone.

Not sure why, but the web versions look alot more bland and desaturated compared to the originals ones?

For instance, I have an A4 print here of No.2 and it's got a lovely warm sky and much warmer reflection on the water.

I didnt do anything different except resize (image>size) in photoshop to 850pix.

Something to do with web colours perhaps?

Yup, thats it Chippy, when using "save as" and saving for web display choose the colour profile "ICC Profile sRGB " instead of leaving as RGB, s standing for "screen"

Great shots though mate!
