Cornish commercials produced figures to support their argument on bass mls and in truth kick our a***s into touch.

Now a very short time later they are going back on these figures which were cast in slabs of stone.

Just a very current example of how we are manipulated by figures.

Hi Ken i know this bit is off topic, could you expand on it for me and post it on the bass posting within the conservation section, any links? Thanks.

Free to choose apart from the ones where the trust poked their nose in. Common eel. tope. Bass and sea bream. All restricted.

New for 2016 TAT are the main instigators for the demise of the u k bass charter boat industry, where they went screaming off to parliament and for the first time assisting so called angling gurus set up bass take bans with the e u using rubbish exaggerated info collected by ices from anglers, they must be very proud.

Upgrade, the door has been closed with regards to anglers being linked to the e u superstate and the failed c f p. So TAT will no longer need to pay monies to the EAA anymore as that org is no longer relevant to the u k . Goodbye to the europeon anglers alliance and pathetic restrictions from the e u.

Angling is better than politics, ban politics from angling.

Consumer of bass. where is the evidence that the u k bass stock need angling trust protection. Why won't you work with your peers instead of castigating them. They have the answer.

Recipie's for mullet stew more than welcomed.

Angling sanitation trust and kent and sussex sea anglers org delete's and blocks rsa's alternative opinion on their face book site. Although they claim to rep all.

new for 2014. where is the evidence that the south coast bream stock need the angling trust? Your campaign has no evidence. Why won't you work with your peers, the inshore under tens? As opposed to alienating them? Angling trust failed big time re bait digging, even fish legal attempted to intervene and failed, all for what, nothing.

Looks like the sea angling reps have been coerced by the ifca's to compose sea angling strategy's that the ifca's at some stage will look at drafting into legislation to manage the rsa, because they like wasting tax payers money. That's without asking the rsa btw. You know who you are..

Rabbit - say that again in 2 years! In Cheltenham there is big disapointment in that the takings are down quite considerably after an initial upturn. The landlords are trying to be optimistic about this such as "ah well- it is now Winter, sales will be down as it is too cold to be out" The smokers are still there going outside in the weather "too cold" for the non-smokers.

I personally am pessimistic about Summer - the non-smokers are not going to go and sit outside on the benches. They will complain that they cannot enjoy a good out because the smokers are taking up THEIR spaces. Sales will go down even more!:angry:

Yep straight into the governments coffers

I must admit I knew what you were saying, just wanted it spelt out loud and clear that this morally corrupt government is quite prepared to let people kill themselves whilst providing funds for them to waste.

And we are asked to believe what they say on the smoking issue?

i was quoting the royal college of physicians not the government though, you've got to start getting your data from somewhere and they seemed like a reasonable choice to start with.If however you would care to post links to papers stating that passive smoking or smoking in general isn't bad for people i will make time to read them and i may alter my opinion if i find the evidence compelling.

Your remarks as to the affection by smoking is guesswork!

No they're not, Kleinboet. I'm a journalist and I've done extensive research on a subject that has had a major effect on my life and will continue to do so. I've spoken at length to consultants, respiratory specialists, cancer specialists, and staff members of cancer treatment units and acute respiratory care facilities. I've also spoken to several McMillan nurses, GPs and countless smokers over the years. I've read extensively on the subject, too, and that literature was produced by some of the foremost authorities in the world.

In short, Kleinboet, I'm not guessing, here. How about you?

And on the eighth day God created carp fishing...and he saw that it was pukka.

Already being discussed in the Photography section of this forum

http://www.anglersnet.co.uk/forums/index.p...st&p=802753

Yet another example of the ever growing 'rights police' moving in and taking them off us.

Anyhoo back on thread. I've just watched a series of adverts with 3 seperate 'how to stop smoking' products being shown in one advertisement break. Carbon foorprint!!!!!!! the money / resources and man hours used to produce these ads could quite easily have been avoided if smoking was banned FULL STOP.

But the government sit back and probably watch the ads same as me knowing that a total ban will never happen because of the revenue.

They have to be seen to be doing something in the right direction so ban it in public places , JOB SORTED.

Balls to the jobs that it might destroy , they're only interested in lining their own pockets.

Balls to the older end of the public that have pretty much nothing left ,family wise , and take a great deal of pleasure in frequenting the working mans club or the bingo hall and enjoy a pint / fag and chat with other people.

Balls to smokers in general (we don't need their vote on this)

Well come the next election mr brown you will be asking for our votes.

All the while , the non-smokers parade around as if it's some sort of hard won battle (sorry but you neither had a say in it)

Be careful what you wish for...............the numptys in power could make it happen.

He has to leave his pint on the table and nip outside in (over the last 12 months) some utterly atrocious weather, with the chance of someone 'spiking' his drink.

So what happens when he goes to the loo? Do these drink-spikers strike then, do they have some sort of amnesty for anyone going to the bog, or are they also just picking on smokers?

Or, as is undoubtedly the case, are you talking cobblers yet again?
