Strange that there isn't a problem with illegal immigrants arriving by plane. Proper security checks for ferries and trains and the facilities that they use in addition to effective boarder controls on arrival are effective deterrents. Couple that with proper detention centres for illegal arrivals (another lesson from Australia - but where to place the island detention camp - Shetland?) and we suddenly become much less of a target for the worlds parasites. It's a problem that only exists because hitching a ride on a truck when there are no proper boarder controls or security checks is ridiculously easy.

I cross the Thailand/Malaysia land boarder fairly regularly. Everybody goes through immigration with it's biometric security checks. Every train is searched and every bus and truck is checked. It doesn't take long and it's not a complicated thing to organise. I'm sure even white Europeans could manage it with a little training.

This problem doesn't have much to do with the UK leaving or otherwise. When the Le Touquet agreement was signed there was not the problem with migration that there is now. The circumstances have changed drastically and many French politicians and probably the majority of the French population are saying "this is not what we signed up to" When you see a daily diet on TV and in the newspapers of French riot police being deployed yet again, trying to prevent people leaving France the attitude quickly become on of "let them go. It is the UK's problem, let them sort it out."

I think there will be changes whether the UK votes to leave the EU or not, the situation will not be allowed to continue much longer.

Can you imagine the furore if the situation was reversed?

Sorry, but if the illegal immigrants landing in the UK could be sent back to France (because that id where they came from) then on their arrival in France the French could send them straight back to the UK (because that is where they came from)

Same law.

Yes but one way illegally but the other legally

codswallop did the u k allow them to enter into france somehow I don't think so, it's fance's and the rubbish schengan agreement for not having proper border controls in the first place. and as for france threatening the u k with consequences for a no vote, they can go swivel.

Angling is better than politics, ban politics from angling.

Consumer of bass. where is the evidence that the u k bass stock need angling trust protection. Why won't you work with your peers instead of castigating them. They have the answer.

Recipie's for mullet stew more than welcomed.

Angling sanitation trust and kent and sussex sea anglers org delete's and blocks rsa's alternative opinion on their face book site. Although they claim to rep all.

new for 2014. where is the evidence that the south coast bream stock need the angling trust? Your campaign has no evidence. Why won't you work with your peers, the inshore under tens? As opposed to alienating them? Angling trust failed big time re bait digging, even fish legal attempted to intervene and failed, all for what, nothing.

Looks like the sea angling reps have been coerced by the ifca's to compose sea angling strategy's that the ifca's at some stage will look at drafting into legislation to manage the rsa, because they like wasting tax payers money. That's without asking the rsa btw. You know who you are..

ohhhh dear:

Britain could spark EU WAR: Juncker says UK could BREAK Brussels peace

BRUSSELS chief Jean-Claude Juncker warned Britain could spark World War Three if it votes to leave the European Union (EU)

The European Commission president bizarrely ordered eurosceptics to visit WAR GRAVES to try and avoid a breakdown in peace between nations.

The desperate leader warned voters not to repeat the "enormous stupidity" of two world wars in the astonishing attack.

Patronising Juncker accused Brexit voters of forgetting the role the EU has played in the years since the Second World War.

and the reply to his comments:

His comments provoked outrage from 'Out' campaigners. Former soldier and UKIP defence spokesman Mike Hookem described the statement as "stomach churning"

He said: "It's certainly an insight into Mr Juncker's mindset that he thinks fighting monsters like Hitler and the tyranny of fascism was 'enormously stupid' when in fact those men and women were enormously brave and their fight was enormously important.

"And as we celebrate centenaries of the First World War, including the Battle of
the Somme this year, we should be loudly giving thanks to all those who
fought for our liberty and freedom against a German Empire.

"This is all part of a protracted effort to scare people into voting to stay in the EU because they know their 'economic' arguments are valueless."

Dr Liam Fox, the former defence secretary, added: “The military cemeteries of Europe are testament to the failure of the continent to control extremism in the twentieth century.

“Had Britain not been a free and independent nation, we would have been unable to intervene to protect Europe from the result of its own folly.“Before we are lectured by the European Commission, we should take a look at the rise of extremism across the continent and ask whether they are helping or hurting.

So the reward to listening to Cameron's e u success's , French warnings, junkers dirge is that the snp leader wants a resounding vote to remain, yer right.

he never wrote it, as soon as he read it , it was cancelled. So how does that make him bumbling?

Here's what your daily mirror readers inspire to, his comments are now coming back to haunt him as he has now flipped and considers the e u to be the best thing since sliced bread for the u k. This man is certainly for turning. I would like to know why he now considers being subservient to unelected Brussels buropratts is the way to go.

What he has said

Mr Corbyn has expressed Eurosceptic arguments in the past - in 1993, he spoke out against the Maastricht Treaty which established the European Union and moved towards economic and political union.

The treaty, Mr Corbyn said, "takes away from national parliaments the power to set economic policy and hands it over to an unelected set of bankers who will impose the economic policies of price stability, deflation and high unemployment throughout the European Community".

He voted against the Lisbon Treaty in 2008, and in one article on his website, said the EU had "always suffered a serious democratic deficit".

And someone else flipped as well, wondering what changed this guys mind: guess who voted no in parliament with regards to the Lisbon treaty, and now attempting to petrify all that the Lisbon treaty is good for the u k. Yup: David CameronWitneyCon (front bench)voted no

Wotch out phone,

boris at his best: :D

Mr Johnson wrote: "Sometime in the next couple of months we are told that president Obama himself is going to arrive in this country, like some deus ex machina, to pronounce on the matter.

"Air Force One will touch down; a lectern with the presidential seal will be erected. The British people will be told to be good to themselves, to do the right thing. We will be informed by our most important ally that it is in our interests to stay in the EU, no matter how flawed we may feel that organisation to be.

"Never mind the loss of sovereignty; never mind the expense and the bureaucracy and the uncontrolled immigration. The American view is very clear. Whether in code or en clair, the president will tell us all that UK membership of the EU is right for Britain, right for Europe, and right for America; and why?

"Because that - or so we will be told - is the only way we can have 'influence' in the councils of the nations. It is an important argument, and deserves to be taken seriously. I also think it is wholly fallacious - and coming from Uncle Sam it is a piece of outrageous and exorbitant hypocrisy.

"There is no country in the world that defends its own sovereignty with such hysterical vigilance as the United States of America. This is a nation born from its glorious refusal to accept overseas control."
