I'm not sure about the way that article prioritises sources - I mean, the Bible may be more contemporaneous than "Once In Royal David's City", but it also makes claims of parthenogenesis, walking on water and some pretty impressive close up magic. If we're choosing between largely fictionalised accounts, I prefer the one that makes claims of "born in a cattle shed" and "quite a nice boy really". ;)
