Team GB is the only good thing about gambling.

Without funding from National lottery we would be celebrating two bronzes and a couple of near misses.

The Brazilians are not exactly filling many seats are they, every event seems to have few spectators.

Is it me or are some of the female gymnasts a lot younger than 16. Sometimes it seems I am watching a primary school competition

It must be you, As far as I am aware there is only one athlete under sixteen years of age, Gaurika Singh the Neplese swimmer. She is thirteen. There is no minimum or maximum age to be an Olympian, although the governing bodies of the various disciplines may impose there own minimum or maximum age limits. The International Gymnastics Federation stipulates that competitors must be at least sixteen years old.

 

In general if your good enough to qualify your good enough to compete, age does not come in to it.

It makes a change when in days gone by fully grown women looked liked scrawny teenagers LOL

Believe NOTHING anyones says or writes unless you witness it yourself and even then your eyes can deceive you

None of this "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" crap it just means i have at least two enemies!

I don't know, It's not something I like to watch, but Nadia Comaneci was only 14 when she won gold in 1976.

The rules have changed since then though.
