Nice wee earner for Fifa that. I wonder if they will give it to charity. I think not.

Perhaps the nations are out of touch with FIFA and the notion of obeying the rules? The docking of points in qualifying groups would be a more effective penalty. those fines are nothing at that level.

So what you're saying is, since FIFA thinks that poppies are a political symbol and should not be worn on the pitch, we should obey them? It wasn't just the poppies either, if you've read the news article it was also because during the Scotland/England match "There was also a display of poppies on big screens, a minute's silence, playing of the Last Post and poppy T-shirts handed to the crowd", and "Following Wales' 1-1 draw at home to Serbia the next day, Fifa opened disciplinary proceedings looking at "fans in the stands wearing the poppy" and the presence of "a member of the armed forces holding a bunch of poppies at the exit of the tunnel" and "The holding of a minute's silence, the laying of a wreath and a poppy display by fans before Northern Ireland's 4-0 win over Azerbaijan".

So, even the fans aren't allowed to wear poppies? Screw that (aimed at FIFA, not you ;) ).

Can anyone tell me why it wasn't against the rules in 2011, but now it is?

That is apart from FIFA having a new president.

John.

Angling is more than just catching fish, if it wasn't it would just be called 'catching'......... John

They have moved the goal posts

Free to choose apart from the ones where the trust poked their nose in. Common eel. tope. Bass and sea bream. All restricted.

New for 2016 TAT are the main instigators for the demise of the u k bass charter boat industry, where they went screaming off to parliament and for the first time assisting so called angling gurus set up bass take bans with the e u using rubbish exaggerated info collected by ices from anglers, they must be very proud.

Upgrade, the door has been closed with regards to anglers being linked to the e u superstate and the failed c f p. So TAT will no longer need to pay monies to the EAA anymore as that org is no longer relevant to the u k . Goodbye to the europeon anglers alliance and pathetic restrictions from the e u.

Angling is better than politics, ban politics from angling.

Consumer of bass. where is the evidence that the u k bass stock need angling trust protection. Why won't you work with your peers instead of castigating them. They have the answer.

Recipie's for mullet stew more than welcomed.

Angling sanitation trust and kent and sussex sea anglers org delete's and blocks rsa's alternative opinion on their face book site. Although they claim to rep all.

new for 2014. where is the evidence that the south coast bream stock need the angling trust? Your campaign has no evidence. Why won't you work with your peers, the inshore under tens? As opposed to alienating them? Angling trust failed big time re bait digging, even fish legal attempted to intervene and failed, all for what, nothing.

Looks like the sea angling reps have been coerced by the ifca's to compose sea angling strategy's that the ifca's at some stage will look at drafting into legislation to manage the rsa, because they like wasting tax payers money. That's without asking the rsa btw. You know who you are..

So the poppy is a political symbol? And there was me thinking it was a symbol of remembrance for all those who died not only in both World Wars, but in all the wars since then (on all sides).

Perhaps, since we don't wish football to be seen as having any Political bias, the U.K. Should reconsider the £3,000,000 we give to China to encourage young people to play football, after all, it might be better spent on our own young and their future. I have not been able to find any further reference to it, but in the last month a member of the Commons had raised a question over the £300 million given to the FA last year, what they doing, perhaps paying Rooney's overtime or travelling expenses?

As to FIFA, same as a lot of people in the EU, here, NI & a few other places, how quickly they forget, shame on them all, respect of our war dead does not permit me to use the words that are fitting in response.

"My imaginary friend doesn't like your imaginary friend is no basis for armed conflict...."
