Be sure to pick the right country and the right time period. Try it with the UK or France.

Even the US picture doesn't look great if you tale a wider view....

Dont forget my list of terrorists and remember the IRA are 'christians' and so are protestants both as bad as each other

The trouble is moslems know terrorism works they only have to see isreal and the queen shaking hands with people who would have executed her at a moments notice if they could have ,they kill enough kids and they will win they know we are bound by our own rules we have shackled ourselves by our civility if were not funding terrorism our lax borders have let them come here to spread their words and now in some areas its just like back home LOL

I had a lovely silver ring yesterday from our tame ones (9 so far this year)not being a worshipper i will give it back and keep the 21c earings instead (shush ) ps their koran is the same one but better interpretated and everone i have met polite and respectful even if i dont believe

Wow!

Was it also America's fault when Muslim pirates attacked her ships and enslaved her citizens in the prelude to the Barbary Wars?

Our slaves good, your slaves bad?

The problem isn't what people don't know, it's what they know that just ain't so.

Moslems always and probably are still leaders in the slavery trade ,our slave trade had moslem overlords employing african gangs to round up their kith and kin ,you could say we were the fall guys but now its alive and well back in the good old uk but under new management we cant even keep that in british hands LOL

All,

Couple things, First, Cory, I am ashamed of you agreeing with Chesters1. It is impossible for his posts to be any better than at most 50/50. Hang your head. In fact, I just hope the Mods don't see your post.

The greater question does indeed incorporate religion as one of many factors. I'm thinking we are at the threshold of population chaos. Added to social custom a couple brief "shortages" in the essentials and "you ain't seen nuttin' yet". "In the name of" will have little impact me thinks.

All,

I have a question. I thought the Manchester Birmingham areas were the heart and soul of British Nationalism. Further, aren't these the folks who would be "toughest" in terms of physical qualities. I mean still predominately laborers.

Are we allowed to be nationalists? seems racist today to do so in many eyes if it were not for football half the population wouldnt know their countries flag

As for labourers theres always pride but i am not sure theres much to be proud about ,newcastle and mining has long gone and shipping someone elses pride nowadays ,might be a canal club with a bit? Or a knitting club using wool?

Generally being poor brings pride without that you have little so you club together to share mysery lol

The cities deprived areas though have to breed tough people who wants to live in cities deprived areas?

I watched a program about deptford (where i was born) intense pride on living there all their lives ,perhaps missed placed as most of the residents are not from deptford and most of deptford is not deptford from their past so they need pride to hang on to the little they have and ofcourse the 'good old days' that were probably not that good in reality

I am old enough to remember when the good old days were the bad days when people longed for the return of the good old days.

Let's agree to respect each others views, no matter how wrong yours may be.

The spirit of the blitz when murders rocketed ,thievery went through the roof and your relatives died prematurely and if you were lucky you were turned into slaves by some welsh sheep farmer (as my dad experienced) and if you were unlucky like 4 of his brothers turned into charcoal by some german with a grudge

Regardless of the media platform. in every country in the world, outrages I that country receive more coverage than outrages abroad.

Of course it does, and if you think about our evolutionary history, our group sizes and the selection pressure for the formation of group identity, for in-group empathy and out-group xenophobia, it's no surprise at all that our heads are wired like that.

The issue with home grown terrorists is what they perceive their group to be.
