Hooks and lines

Recommended Posts

After being out of the game for several years I've noticed that my old favourite line and hooks are no longer available.

(Sufix synergy line and penetrator 2 hooks).

Can anyone recommend good alternatives that have a proven history. (Re: hooks, as close to the P2 pattern/design as possible).

Si,

I saw these and thought they would be a GREAT carp hook. I haven't tried them

It is called a Summer Flounder Hook

They'd need the Barb nipping off/Flattening in order to comply with the Barbless Hook policy on nearly all Carp Fisheries here in the UK.

I believe I'm seeing barbs on these??

Martin,

Me too - I believe those are barbs. How the he!! can they be called "catch and release" hooks? Something fishy going on - read the copy in the backdrop of the package.

All,

I can't say I've ever caught a flounder or if I have I can't remember. Are their lips like a carp (soft)?

Fishing seems to be my favorite form of loafing.

"Even a bad day of fishing is better than a good day of work."

I know the joy of fishes in the river through my own joy, as I go walking along the same river.

What do you think if the float does not dip, try again I think.

Traditionally flatfish hooks in the UK are soft wire Aberdeens which straighten easily - for a catch and don't release hook removal option when they've been swallowed.

Must be the worst review possible lol

Not enough weight to actually do the review!

Bloke was stumped because the hooks didnt rust ......what was the PH of the water ? How warm was it? Were all the hooks dunked at once?

Quality was pronounced on a coating ,i can coat real crap with ptfe it doesnt make it suddenly change to top of the range

So one cannot polish a turd, but one can give one a Teflon coating. Is that what happened to Tony Blair?

The problem isn't what people don't know, it's what they know that just ain't so.

I found a couple of patterns I like. Korda Korve and Nash Fang X.

These seem to be the closest shape and size to the old GLT penetrator 2 hooks (my all time favourite hook pattern).
