So Ken being in pub trade now if you have a pub , restaurant etc etc and you haven’t the staff you can’t open ,now if you have a busy public house restaurant etc and you have a  shortage  of staff your turnover drops as you are not  selling your products fast enough .so turnover drops vat revenue drops straight away for the treasury this is right across the U.K. it’s millions  and millions in lost revenues It’s starts  with suppliers from beer to meat foods etc to restaurants it  all balloons.

You see Ken this was  predicted and it was all scaremongering wrong it’s fact. Another  one on the list of brexit casualties is there any other business left it hasn’t trashed .

This is what brexit has done you cannot argue with the facts .

According to new data from the recruitment site, CV Library1, job postings in April 2021 were up 37% month on month for roles in the hospitality industry, and there was a huge 395% increase compared to the same month last year

Strange at one time half the staff in pubs were from australia they had no problem asking to come and now it seems a great number of carers are white africans they have no problem asking to come! All your cheap labour has to do is ask to come and join the few million already here

This has all been discussed before but round and round the troll goes

Interesting article in politico concerning hospitality you might not have seen yet Chesters.

Also some good articles recently where the EU is making veiled threats at Switzerland for their refusal to kneel.

Absolute rubbish that link cod says only britain under the tories suffered! the rest of the world went on as usual.

I have no doubt the EU is using threats it does on every occasion its pointed at or mentioned in anything but a outstanding way ,unfortunately the EU isnt outstanding in anything but tricking countries out of individual border tarriffs ,telling them who they can do deals with and how much that costs and then pretending its for the greater good ,in the case of poland it is it lets the poles escape and give billions to the leaders to be good little boys! the contributing countries get little but a bit of their own money   back and now they are going to find they pay more and get less! We escaped by the skin of our teeth!

Blimey an update ,cods vindicated i have found a shortage! Must be brexit related !my mrs drinks carbonated water (despite a five stage filter under the sink making tapwater even safer!) Volvic shortage? Foreigners refusing to flog it to us? Perrier shortage ? Billions of bottles blocked at dover? Nope its some stuff from a tap in yorkshire she only got 4 bottles not 12 ,fricking brexit! Bloody boris ,poxy tories!

Or perhaps in reality its not opinions from headlines feeding the single browed morons  gullibly drooling over dross from newspapers and their attention grabbing headlines but they just ran out because  its been a hot couple of days and it will be back in stock tomorrow lol

Meanwhile, outside of the asylum, the jobs market is booming:

https://www.expressandstar.com/news/business/2021/05/18/unemployment-falls-in-the-west-midlands/

Times are going to get tough for businesses who fail to recognise that scarcity of available labour drives up the cost of said labour.

Those businesses will struggle to fill vacancies unless they up the salaries in order to attract staff.

Cod may struggle with this as he has demonstrated that he doesn't understand the economics of supply and demand on multiple occasions.

The vaccination program, the regaining of sovereign control, the ability to turn away European criminals, the Australia trade deal, being free of EU red tape, we have been able to authorize the creation of the "Advanced Research and Invention Agency", with UK forces no longer under EU command we have seen a reduction in the EU's threats to world peace as their threats against Russia have dialled back, and here will be much more to come, but:

What have the Romans ever done for us?
