Beware - The Angling Direct Rip Off!!!

Yesterday I ordered 3 small packs of Drennan Assorted Silicon Float Rubbers at £1.80 each (£5.40) It then cost me another £4.99 for Delivery!!

I Emailed them with my concerns that they were Taking the P*ss somewhat. They replied saying that "That is our Standard charge" for Items under £19.

Jesus, a 2nd Class Stamp & an envelope would have easily covered these - and maybe charge £1.50 would have been more than acceptable to Me. Maybe a bit of Discretion would be in order from them for such cheap Items?? - Was going to cost me £4.99 Delivery for just 1 Pack!!!

(At 65, I'm still Paying to Learn!!!)

Thats nothing compared to America i wanted to order a 6" photographic ruler that cost a few quid and the buggers wanted £68 (cant remember it was some time ago) to bung it in an envelope and send it!

Shop around is my advice

Thanks for that Ken but I already have Loads of these + lengths of same to cut up (assorted, small diameter for Pole Floats) I needed the Bigger dia' assortment for Sticks & Porcies. Maybe the confusion was caused by the 3 small packs & not 3 packs of small rubbers??

These are the ones I ordered .....

You've got them now, so I wasn't exactly expecting you to rush off and order some more.

Postage charges are often OTT, so I find myself going direct to wholesalers in China for a lot of stuff that I don't need in a hurry or using e-bay if I need it quick.

I may exaggerate parts but most is based on fact 🤭

I bought one here in the end it wasnt cheap but compared to the american one! I have no doubt they are really cheap now !

Update! No 3 times the price i paid for one and postage from the  turkey one (why turkey?) £65 🥴

https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00236V0US/ref=olp-opf-redir?aod=1&ie=UTF8&condition=NEW

I use it for sending close up pictures of the silver rings i find in the local ghetto, he translates the inscription and has pictures of whats in the envelope incase some scrote at the gate pinches one if hes not about . Had a problem with lighting so just bought a ring lamp i can poke the camera through an overhead lamp had been difficult in macro mode with shadows. The good thing especially trying to take pictures of tiny silver coins is the auto focus on my camera locks on the rule rather than trying to focus on the coin itself
