This is more my Late Mam's era from when she was just a Girl.

First real local was the Lord Clyde (on reflection it was the Clarendon  the lord clyde was my local in Aldershot ) n folkestone ,nice old couple heard i was bringing my new girlfreind there (now mrs) and did a lovely meal (free) in a alcove ,it obviously worked ! Long gone both them and pub
