Wrossy and Brand

five bellies

Recommended Posts

I have not commented so far, but my initial reaction was that they should both go......but.........

Brand has done the right thing and resigned and I watched his apology on the 6 o'clock news, and his full admision that it was a mistake, and that he "got rather carried away"

I have to say, he has shown himself to be more of a man than I originally thought.

Nothing from Ross yet????????????? or have I missed it>

interesting article as brand has quit the bbc but sir gerald kaufman hits the nail on the head at the end.

There is no statement from Sir Gerald Kaufman on there. Was it so pertinent that the BBC have been asked to remove it?

It seems that two people complained after hearing it on the show. It now says that 27,000 people have complained about something because the Daily Mail and other papers told them to.

As far as I'm concerned, If Jonathan Ross and Russell Brand have such power to irritate Daily Mail readers, they should both be given a knighthood.

English as tuppence, changing yet changeless as canal water, nestling in green nowhere, armoured and effete, bold flag-bearer, lotus-fed Miss Havishambling, opsimath and eremite, feudal, still reactionary, Rawlinson End.

If two people complained after the show that's more than 50% of their entire audience. ;)

Let's agree to respect each others views, no matter how wrong yours may be.

he said that they should pay the fine and not the bbc as it would be coming from our money(tv licence)

The salary of the chief executive of a large corporation is not a market award for achievement. It is frequently in the nature of a warm personal gesture by the individual to himself.

The words of wise old Oscar

There is only one thing in life worse than being talked about, and that is not being talked about.

This whole affair has done the young ladies career no harm whatsoever.

Russel Brand is someone who I feel a strange compultion to slap. I have seen him do a funny standup routine but his constant talkshow appearances just wind me up. I just can't stand the man - and I doubt that I'm alone in that.

I like Ross but his £7m salary deal with the BBC was widely critisized as lavish when it was agreed and in the current economic climate, it's positively obscene and a definate liability for the organisation - especially when his Friday night show is being trounced by Al Murray.

If Ross is forced out of his job, it seems to me that the whole afair is a win win situation for the young lady, the licence payers and the BBC. Could this have affected the decision to allow the pre-recorded programe to go out on air ? I couldn't possibly speculate....
