Problems accessing AN

Over the last few weeks, I've been having a lot of problems accessing AN from either my home or work machine.

Sometimes it's "Database error" and sometimes, the screen can ot be displayed.

 

I've just had half an hour where I've been able to get onto any of AN's forums.

An I thie only one ?

Same here Ken, maybe Elton's playing with the buttons.

Nope, you're not the only one.

 

There's something which is using too much of the servers processor. I'm monitoring the problem and trying to fix it.

Just for the record Si, the problem definatly predates that software upgrade that Elton was talking about the other week, although you're almost certanly aware of that already.

Same here Ken, that I have also been having problems with it at least two weeks now and still do.

I've been having problems for the past two or three weeks. I thought it was down to this ageing computer, so I'm relieved to see that it's not just me!

I'm the same as you lot.

 

I've noticed a lot of double posts, I think this is down to the site being slow, and people submitting again. I know that's what's happened with me.

 

If I try to access a member profile, I get a 'not able to connect' message. If I press 'refresh' it then puts me through.

It's doing my head in.

 

Both Si and a company called Platinum Server Management are try to trace the problem. Personally, I think it's down to the forum database, as it just went again and I could get onto all the rest of AN.
