The error is in thinking that the EA give a toss about the environment, or fish, or angling. They don't. Their interest in rivers lies in generating cash from abstraction permits and effluent disposal and in minimising flooding - even where this results in the wholesale destruction of the riverine ecology.

Phew their writing a letter ,that'll tell them ,why not pay for concrete filled sandbags to chuck in the outlet or better still get on good morning britain or whatever its called ,questions in parliament ,jumping in front of the queens horse should get publicity .
