The backlash for Kendall Jenner’s new ad landed the second she flicked open her can of Pepsi. Was this a joke? Was Pepsi really exploiting the recent #BlackLivesMatter protests - and was that ‘wig moment’ an example of racism in action?

I make a point of never watching adverts - if anything is good enough that I'm going to need/want it I'll hear about it soon enough, and fizzy drinks of any description will never be of any use to me.

Very true, and I would go further - if something is repeatedly and heavily advertised I begin to suspect there is a reason why it is not selling on its own merits.

You must be blind then Every time you see a brand or a companies logo, you've watched an advert.

Not all adverts are designed to merely sell sell a product. Some are for what marketing/adverrtising type people call "brand re-enforcement.

I'm not blind, and so obviously I can't avoid seeing company logos and suchlike and I'm aware of what they are.

 

It deeply puzzles me that anyone wants to wander around advertising their gullibility by displaying the logo of various companies on their apparel, but I can avoid watching advertisements, particularly on the TV where they are most rife.
