  1. As an ardent supporter of Leicester City I have to say watching the once half decent Foxes play the bilge they did and failing to penetrate through the Colchester defence last weekend was one of the lowest points of my supporting life.
  2. It is printed on my licence.....reverse side, 3rd bullet point. I hadn't realised it was myself until it was pointed out on this forum.

I bought the D400 last week and have to say I'm not over-impressed with the results so far. Guess I'll have to properly read the manual then.....
  4. Basic TomTom's are very good but if you are planning to do any driving on the continent it makes far more sense to get one with a hard disk and most Euro maps pre-installed on them as buying maps later is expensive. I've got the 700 and am very happy with it. Be carefull that you don't take leave it in the car like I did very briefly once as a smashed side window soon happens. I read recently about the problems with the x10 series. Apparently TomTom are now offering free replacements for the problematic ones so, I guess, it's sorted.
  5. Bought....cheers Elton.
  6. Nice to see you using it for what it's inteded for HB, looked like fun times......My strife insisted the other day that I'm not using my Landie enough to justify it anymore so it's had to be part-ex'd for a new family 'soft roader'. Still 230 horses at least means the new Scoobie will be some compensation.......
  7. Dry fly fishing is a doddle....upstream nymph fishing is not. Well, I find it hard anyhow...... As for coarse fishing, for me it's a toss up between Stret Pegging and simply rolling a freelined lump of meat searching a river which are the most challenging.

HB's picture looks superb to me TB.......so much going on in it.
  9. Not just me then...........

Trying out my new camera today....
  11. Flippin' heck.....these DSLR's are a bit different to the old point and shoot......Wow! Just going to consult the old manual to find out how to review the shots taken so far.
  12. Without doing any research on what lens I should buy for having my first bash at macro photography. I took up an offer today at Jessops to buy one of these (allegedly) at half price with my new SLR. Basically, I thought until I got to grips with this digital malarky I'd compromise and not buy two separate lenses i.e. a macro as well as a more powerfull zoom. Will it suffice for my first novice attempts....any thoughts anybody?
  13. I used to do just that but only realised the other day that my contribution has been cancelled. I guess it was done when my last debit card expired 'cos I didn't do it.
  14. Here goes... A) 33 years Not easy to answer Budgie.....not nearly enough this year, once a month I'd guess. C) Not been checked this year but have been checked EVERY year previous for approx 5 years or so. Exclusively on fly fishing waters interestingly enough after thinking about it.....
  15. Dead easy......do something she's been prompting you to do together for years....she'll think you're wonderfull.....Sorted!!!
  16. Just made 'Spaghetti puttanesca'.....very nice it was too! I tend to do the cooking in our house whilst she scrubs down the urchins, so I turned to page 66 of the October issue of BBC's Olive magazine, was inspired, added twice as many anchovies and lots more chilli flakes and it worked a treat.....!!
  17. I'm impressed.....very nice. Might even order some of that smoked Eel as recommended now.
  18. I'm inspired so I've just bought some from Morereasons too (same ones as in Vagabonds pic above). Will try them tonight!!
  19. I've got a 90 Defender County 200 TDi and love it. Great fishing mobile but, with the best will in the world, I couldn't describe her as comfortable on long journeys. Maybe a TD5 would be nicer but they're top dollar.
  20. Technically it's 15 years on 20/5/06, but I was 'banished' from the marital home for about a year up to last Christmas time....she then decided I was enjoying my new found freedom a bit too much and reigned me back in!!!
