  2. http://www.tutiempo.net/tiempo/Francia/FR.html dont know if you can get anything usefull out of this link elton. there are about 130 locations in france, click on the one nearest to where you want, and it will give you a 2 or 3 day forecast. o.k. the writing is in spanish, but the numbers and pictures are the same in any language! maybe you can get something useful from it, maybe not!best wishes dave.
  3. yes, i worked as a profesional diver. i used to have the standard knife on my leg, and a special small netcutter knife on the opposite arm. so that i could get to either one if i had an arm tangled.nets are a nightmare.especially at night, or in bad viz.a lot of the wrecks have shedfuls of old nets on them.best wishes dave
  4. mystic..cor blimey, that brought back a few memories! i can remember going on holiday with my parents as a kid, and seeing a pack of three tubes in a french hypermarket. monoprix it was called i remember. i had just read an article in the angling times about it and i bought a pack.back home, i was straight to the local canal,in anticipation of huge bags of 2lb roach... and bogger all!! mind you that was probally due to the 5lb line straight through to a number 10 i realize now!!thanks for bringing back the memory! best wishes dave...

  13. just reread the article again about lure fishing at night, they were using a lot a lures with rattles in them, and poppers. they found best results on moonlit evenings, on the surface or no deeper than 1 metre.i realy feel like giving this a go soon now!!best wishes dave.
  14. hi sean, ive been reading an article about catching bass on rapalas at night(from the shore)if it works at night it would work during the day whatever the "viz"is surely?and yes i was a professional diver!its an interesting thread for discussion for sure.best wishes dave.
  15. dont know where you got this from dale. licences are required to fish in all spanish waters, both freshwater and sea.each autoamous region has its own rules that come with it.i myself would not dream of freshwater angling without a licence, but i have never been checked while sea fishing. i think the authorities basicaly turn a blind eye when they think its tourists.i have been looking for a link regarding licences in the canaries, but i havent found anything in english to put on here yet, anyway best wishes dave.
  16. hi mark, try tapping the route you want into google and do a search.if you put it in in spanish..bear with me..you will definatly get some sites. i dont know where you are flying from but for example.. alicante to london would be.. vuelos alicante a londres malaga to manchester.vuelos malaga a manchester. once you have the page up im sure that many of them will have english as well if you need it.best wishes dave
  17. just been reading about a guy who regularly fly fishes for mullet, using an imitation piece of bread. he has discovered two things that have led to better catches.1.colour the hook with a bit of tipex, it makes it look like bread.2. he soaks his bread imitating flies overnight, in a mash of pulped bread and water.he reckons that the flies take on the smell of the bread.good luck. best wishes dave.
  18. http://www.forteantimes.com/articles/090_divers.shtml hello guys, its a very interesting thread. i was suprised to to read that the birds could dive to 100metres,this doesnt seem to be backed up by other information on the birds that i have seen. ( click upon link above) i saw many times the birds underwater when i was working as a prof diver, but normally they were at relativly shallow depths of 25mts or less.regards dave.
  19. ahh... isnt that nice.. hes smiling for the camera!!!
