PS. I haven't been pre-baiting for a week, no specially reserved swims, I don't want anyone moaning about my annoying laugh......and if I want to kiss the fish.....that's my choice!

theres one on spanish tv something or other peche ,looks interesting but the soundchannel seems to contain only grunts ,clicks and throat clearing

Well, the weather put paid to that idea. An absolute deluge around first light, through to late morning, followed by winds gusting to gale force throughout the afternoon.

 

Shame really. The fishing was very productive.

 

I had eight decent Perch, all to lives, biggest 2 3/4lb.

 

 

Russ was over the other side and had a few, topped by a very long but lean scraper 3.

 

 

Fingers crossed we'll get another chance when the weather is more cooperative.

Having got sick of tonight's crap TV I decided to find this topic to see what people had suggested for fishing programmes...

 

Total Fishing 2006 is on Discovery's Real Time Extra (Sky 242) tonight at 10 and 10:30pm. Although judging by Hermes post and the title it's no doubt a repeat. Is this all we can get out of god knows how many channels?!? I know The Casting Couch is earmaked for June 16th (this week's Angling Times), but I find it staggering that for a sport with as reputedly as big a following as angling that there is next to nothing on the telly.

 

Has anyone found anything else? Maybe www.onlinefishing.tv is the way to go, although I begrudge paying an extra £5 per month for what really ought to be coming through our cable or digital boxes!! But it's got to be better than the rubbish served up by almost every terrestrial and digital channel these days. And with a bit of luck I can access it at work and watch it on my lunchbreak *ahem*

Why should it be coming through your exisiting TV media? You're the one who wants to watch it, why shouldn't you pay for it? TV costs a lot to make, niche programming needs paying for somehow.....
