On the Hants Avon tomorrow for a last gasp attempt at a decent Roach this season, bag of lovingly prepared liquidised bread sitting in the fridge along with four pints of turmeric dusted maggots.Hoping that old Issak will smile on me tomorrow and grant me my wish. :)

Off to our fave perch water to get a PB perch and beat the missus, or rather I am, after last week i'm leaving the wife at home to do housework :D;)

who cares what size it is, as long as it's a fish.

My next trip was due to be on the Thames early next week, but we'll see.

However, I'm up in King's Lynn Norfolk again at the weekend, and have just been given the green light for half-a-day fishing, so I think a few hours wobbling deadbaits on the Middle Level sounds like a plan.

We were going to go to Lacock on the Bristol Avon (we, being Dave who I fish with sometimes) then I spoke to someone I grew up with and he just happens to have fsihing rights to a nice stretch of the Wey not far from me so, knowing that the stretch above his has produced some good double figure barbel & some cracking perch, guess where I am going ;)

Really quite excited knowing that we have the whole stretch to ourselves :)

Tight lines everyone

Right the Thames is looking Pants and having only recently come back into flood will be a waste of time so i am going to the Predator lake to try for a big Pike or Perch trolling lures and then bait fishing ,If this does not work then we are going to try fishing Lobworms next to the snaggy tree area.

Was going to one of the free bits but just fancy trying to see a big Pike/Perch in the boat before the end of the season ,what are the rest of you going to target this weekend with the river seasons clock ticking ?? Steve.

Hey Steve guess who got another PB Chub yesterrday! It was definielty over 6, possibly as much as 7. What a battle, what a fish! Lob tail did the trick, and managed five other chubn as well, lost two due to snags. Where? Lovely Northcroft!

I don't have any scales but after the last couple of weeks I think I might review that policy!

It was about the same length as my rod handle (53cm) but really broad and fat. I decided that the last PB I had was over 5, then this was much bigger and in much better condition. I couldn't stop staring at it. From Northcroft as well! Who would have thought it! I have a photo on my phone but I have no adaptor to put it on the PC. I'll get hold of one and do it. Watch this space.
