It's a lovely day today - so far. And yesterday was nice too although a b it windy. It should mean that the river levels will have a chance to drop. I have a feeling that the wetaher won't be too bad. I could be wrong, but I think that the forecast of rain is the worst case scenario, the front may go the other way.

here

According to the surface pressure chart on the Met Office website, the troughs have cleared by Saturday and there is high pressure and warm front pushing in from the Atlantic. It all hinges on the precise position of the low pressure front - if it is pushed more over, if the high pressure builds as suggested and the low front moves in from the SE we will get rain for certain, but if the high pressure pushes the low pressure over Europe, it could sustain or even improve the current good weather. I think tomorrows forecast will be the more accurate.

I'm always optimistic though! :sun:

I've checked the weather for Romsey on Sunday three times today, and it's been different every time

When I say different, I mean the quantities of rain keep changing :D

I think I might need to buy a new brolly.

Hmmm…well I have a bad weather plan.

I’ll be fishing ultra light with only my rod, net and bait smock loaded with one batch of bait, everything I’ll need will be in pockets with only enough tackle for one re-rig. Everything else (bag, food, bait, spare reel & tackle etc) will be in the car.

Neoprene chesties and my wax jacket/hood will keep me dry. When I run out of bait or feel peckish it’s back to the car for a re-load.

This is a sure fire way of coming across a hot swim just as I feed my last few maggots.

It's never a 'six', let's put it back
