I'm away at the moment doing some emergency babysitting of our granddaughter Amity, so won't be opening the list until Tuesday at the earliest.

That'll also be fair to those who are away for the public holiday and haven't got internet access.

It's a bit hectic at the moment to say the least, with Peggy's mum in hospital following a stroke, plus Amity's other grandfather unable to babysit as he has a brain tumour. Then Amity's parents are getting ready for a major conference they host for 100s of doctors that starts in 10 days, so it's all hands to the pumps!

As a result I've had no chance to fish for the tench and bream, but they've certainly woken up and some sizeable bags have been taken!

I'll leave it to others to post any catches if they want to, but I can reveal we have a new record male tench for the venue.

The booking details will be on a separate topic, so look out for it from Tuesday onwards. The exact day will depend on the family commitments.

Thanks for reply Steve. You seem to have your hands full at the moment, but I hope all turns out OK ,

Just got back from a couple of nights - no bream (surprise!) and a LOT of rain! The weather is very changeable, let's hope it settles in time for the fish-in. There are still some big tench coming out here and there but they are slim after the cold winter. I had one that looked 8lb+ but only went 6.12!

And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music

Steve, may I add my name to those wishing you well with your other committments. These must of course take priority over all else so will eagerly await the day as and when it comes.

Steve - I am giving up my place for this year as I got plenty time to do it another time after the May 25th but I will be down there on Friday 21st (if you need any helping hand) and more likely will be socialising for the Saturday only.

Just put me down for the famous Peggy BBQ lunch please.

Thanks

Andrew

Nice Fish Glyn, you must be well pleased with that.

I don't think it's just the male fish that fight like hell at Wingham, I think everything that picks up your hook bait there gives a good account for themselves.
