As it turns out we have just had a fairly light snowfall overnight :) so not worth getting the camera out on this occasion. I am sure more photos will get posted onto this thread over the winter though !!! :camera::cold:

I wish I had my camera with me yesterday morning. The thick hoar frost on the trees 9especially the birches) made the whole place look like Narnia.

We have now forecst fo the early hours of tomorow and I think Whitley Bay is suposed to have some in the daytime tomorrow so you might be in with another chance yet.

So what's it been like down your way. Caen got fairly plastered, worse than Southampton did,

The problem isn't what people don't know, it's what they know that just ain't so.

It has been a bit wet and fairly chilly. Some days struggled to get up to 4 or 5 degrees. We even saw a slight dusting of snow on the hills in the distance.

Today it is 16deg with the sun shining from a cloudless sky B)

Due to get wet again toward the weekend.

I was speaking to a keeper friend of mine at Balmoral the other day. He said it is the worst that he has ever experienced. He has 4-5ft of snow in the garden and much deeper in the drifts up on the hill. The Red Deer will be taking a hammering at the moment.

I saw some of the snow up north and it looked bad. I was thinking that you got out just in time. My old mum lives in West Dumbartonshire, normally they don't see much of the white stuff but my sister said that there had been three foot of snow. In Southampton we had about 6", that's the most I've seen since about '86-'87.

Bet you are gutted you got out!

23c here and sunny today. :D

It may be nice now, but your area's much too darn hot for me in the summer.

You're welcome to it!

Used to it Steve. Doesnt bother me at all. Just have to work around it a little at the hottest times. :)

Same here, but at the coldest times.

And I find it much easier to warm up in the winter than cool down in the summer.

Each to their own of course.
