Newt - There was a couple of old timers pole fishing on saturday that were catching roach, perch and gudgeon, so them and carp are there for sure. If I was a betting man i'd also add chub and bream to the list, with a good chance of zander, eel and possibly pike.

 

The canal will be mostly typical of our canal system, a ledge of around 24 inches deep on each side that goes out a couple of feet, then a deeper channel that runs down the middle that is probably in the region of 4-5ft deep.

 

kleinboet - I'm thinking along the lines of year books only, but you and other AN regulars are welcome to come and have a look around and fish for a session before making a decision.

fished it saturday nice and quiet no rubbish in the water unlike like the cut down my way.

well worth the membership money, get down there boys and girls.

None this afternoon and havn't seen any go past while i've been fishing, bluezulu mentioned there was quite a few saturday afternoon but then again, it was the weekend.
