Osama Bin Laden Dead

Motion detectors in the prison wouldn't detect taliban underground.

The source of the tunnel was 300m away - there are houses a lot closer to British prisons.

The source of the tunnel was 300m away but the entrance to it or exit if you prefer had to be in the Prison...thus motion detectors would have picked up the digging. Poor security or a deliberate turn a blind eye.

British Prisons in general do not house alleged terrorists, leading brains of the Talibhan.

Any prison housing terrorists should have been guarded properly and only a moron would not expect a tunnel break.

Which smacks of deliberate incompetence to me.

We should now pull out and leave Afghanistan to its fate.

Get the latest news too that Bin Laden was unarmed when he was shot and killed. Got to love American fair play.

"We the Americans come in peace, SHOOT TO KILL."

Why was he not taken prisoner, think of the intel he would hold. Unless he held secrets about the USA which were too sensitive?

The 3000 were all unarmed and some of them dropped 1000' to their deaths, he was the lucky one.

The brave ones in the crashed jets where the ones who made a fight of it, he didn't, cowerd. looked good previously on film with an ak47 though.

Free to choose apart from the ones where the trust poked their nose in. Common eel. tope. Bass and sea bream. All restricted.

New for 2016 TAT are the main instigators for the demise of the u k bass charter boat industry, where they went screaming off to parliament and for the first time assisting so called angling gurus set up bass take bans with the e u using rubbish exaggerated info collected by ices from anglers, they must be very proud.

Upgrade, the door has been closed with regards to anglers being linked to the e u superstate and the failed c f p. So TAT will no longer need to pay monies to the EAA anymore as that org is no longer relevant to the u k . Goodbye to the europeon anglers alliance and pathetic restrictions from the e u.

Angling is better than politics, ban politics from angling.

Consumer of bass. where is the evidence that the u k bass stock need angling trust protection. Why won't you work with your peers instead of castigating them. They have the answer.

Recipie's for mullet stew more than welcomed.

Angling sanitation trust and kent and sussex sea anglers org delete's and blocks rsa's alternative opinion on their face book site. Although they claim to rep all.

new for 2014. where is the evidence that the south coast bream stock need the angling trust? Your campaign has no evidence. Why won't you work with your peers, the inshore under tens? As opposed to alienating them? Angling trust failed big time re bait digging, even fish legal attempted to intervene and failed, all for what, nothing.

Looks like the sea angling reps have been coerced by the ifca's to compose sea angling strategy's that the ifca's at some stage will look at drafting into legislation to manage the rsa, because they like wasting tax payers money. That's without asking the rsa btw. You know who you are..

Worldwide Rush For Obama-Osama Souvenirs

A quick-witted Italian artist has created figurines showing President Obama's 'victory' over international terrorist Osama bin Laden.

Genny Di Virgilio, who is based in the famous artisan street of San Gregorio Armeno in Naples, designed the figures as soon as news of bin Laden's death broke across the world...........

It is not a question of sympathy.

In War people die. Bin Laden was the head of an organisation rightly or wrongly at war with America and the west.

However, the unarmed head of an enemy organisation should be captured alive and interrorgated to gain further intel.

Ask yourself why, against all military teaching and doctrine, do you kill the head of your enemies camp instead of acting an easy capture.

Logic is missing here.

If it was Bin Laden did he have too much intel on America to be left alive?

You think he would talk? How risky would it have been to get him out of the country? In a firefight in a confined space, can you afford to spend the lives of soldiers to get one hostile out alive? Can you even reliably do it? Did they know the place wasn't booby trapped for a suicide? Could the US have extradited him, tried him and executed him, or would he have been submitted to the Hague and given a life sentence?

I suspect that it was just much simpler and surer to achieve the US's goals by shooting him dead there and then, and it is entirely in line with recent US policy of killing terrorists in the field with drones.

Was there a 2nd shooter on the Grassy Knoll?

Is the US military keeping alien spacecraft in a building in Area 51?

Who shot JR?

How did the American kill team escape? Would one more person made all the difference?

Booby traps are an occupational hazard in conflict.

This one Hostile was the head of the organisation. If you can, and they could, you capture him.

The USA kept Pakistan in the dark so why would they worry about extradition?

Military doctrine and teaching flies in the face of the result of this action.

Even interational rules of war state that to kill an unarmed enemy combatant is murder.

As to making him talk, surely you're not that nieve?

Maybe Bin Laden knew the location of Lord Lucan and Shergar?

As said, in a fortified compound that may have been rigged, making any movement that was not specifically ordered by the Seal with the gun could reasonably have been interpreted as an attempt to trigger explosives.

I wouldn't have hesitated to pull the trigger - would you ?
