Great, for further public relations points maybe we could club some baby seals and appear outside the houses of parliament with a barrel of water and a bucket of puppies and kittens

MP emailed to make sure that he knows that not all anglers are nutcases.

Perhaps he could start a let ban angling ePetition at the same time so save someone else a job....

Whether or not you think otters are a problem surely this is THE worst way of tackling the issue?

What a clever boy, say he does get the required 100,000 votes and does get his debate. What is the likely outcome? Everyone will hate anglers and fishing every last one of us. The debate will not result in any action to control them, which in my mind is good. however all it will have done is raise a debate that angling will not win. I think there is more chance of angling been removed from waters that have Otters then any control of them.

Such a debate just presents other individuals or organsations with a chance to air anti-angling views as part of the debate. His actions may end up with anti angling legislation.

A total Muppet.

Stephen

What old fool was it who said this-

"Mark my words it will be these realtree clad, fish deifying,"angry young men" that kill our sport."

This is the danger when people feel they automatically gain "expert" status by going straight into what was once an advaced area of our sport. But as I keep getting told "what harm are they doing"......................................

And thats my "non indicative opinion"!

Ah but guys of our size have to wear camo mate other wise the blindest of blind moles on the darkest of nights would have no problem making out our outline!

Trouble is (as has been pointed out a lot on AN recently) most of today's "anglers" will agree totally with what he says! Remember the sheep that doesn't wear camo ain't in the flock! Baaaaaaaa and if you "love carp more than anyone else" how could you not be outraged (or at least act outraged!) at the death of any carp! And we must remember once again that for 80%+ of "anglers" these days angling means "carp angling".

But I suppose I'm just "having a go" at carp angling/anglers again............................er despite the fact I am/was one!

And thats my "non indicative opinion"!

I just have!

So have I!

Eating wild caught fish is good for my health, reduces food miles and keeps me fit trying to catch them........it's my choice to do it, not yours to stop me!
