EDL - Proud and prejudice

Did anybody catch the channel 4 programme 'Proud and Prejudice' last night (Monday) on the English defence league and the Muslim extremists in Luton?

I found it extremely interesting and I have my own opinions, but was wondering if you all had any views on it?

Here if you missed it: http://www.channel4.com/programmes/proud-and-prejudiced

P.S I don't want this thread to turn into an argument, i'm not stirring or provoking arguments just curious to see people feelings on the matter.

EDL :bigemo_harabe_net-163: moslems :bigemo_harabe_net-163: let them fight

i think the english are quite happy to get on with anyone until they see those they see moving into the fold get more rights than those around them ,then they tend to get peed off ,it doesnt have to be foreigners anyone that considers themselves better than the throng are looked on with suspicion

bad people and politicians do things not for a reason but as an excuse to further their own agendas

i live in a small village and our resident moslems certainly are treated more "favourably" by the council han the rest and now we have a mystery caravan appearing on some newly sold land i expect the "ethnic minority" stance get out will let them be treated more favourably as well as it did in the village next door

the people that some chumps vote in are either afraid to stand up or cannot be bothered to or it suits their agenda not to

if 100% of the affected neighbours stand up and say NO to something and it goes ahead then why are those responsible for ignoring them get voted in again ,this political crap is alien to me and a great number of people cretins or simpletons

did i see the star of david on a EDL flag ,hmmmm how short memories are when jews were murdering english in their terrorist acts

Did you watch the programme? It was actually very informative and interesting.

I have to admit I found myself agreeing with a lot of what the EDL had to say. It made a lot of sense.

Didn't see the program as I'm out of the country but when the EDL turned up, they were a breath of fresh air, being prepared to stand up for British culture and traditions. Sadly, a lot of total headbangers have gravitated to their banner and now they are almost entrirely focussed on winding up muslims and satirring up trouble and banging a rather predictable racist drum.

Personally, I find the English Democrates more to my taste - they even have policies.......

No i did not.

I have heard of them prior to the show.

They are the group that was going to stage a counter march against the radical Islamic demonstration protest march at Wootton Bassett. I agree with them on that.

Watched two minutes of it, saw the Asian dude slap the English lad and then more tirades of racism.

Thats enough for me, surely that assault on tape could lead to a criminal prosecution.
