As lovely a looking reel as it is I think paying that amount of money for it would make me throw up LOL.

they're nice quality reels but not that rare ,and not worth that much ,its not even reel no1 .

I think my obsession with centrepins must have started to wane as the thought of paying out large sums of money for any reel makes me cringe .

Maybe he's just going through the motions, trying to appease the 'other half'?

Overpriced reels are great opportunities for those people who really want them and have the cash so I don’t blame the seller for chancing his arm, I’m just not sure that any Carter reel is going to tempt buyers at this price. They’re fine reels no doubt but in the centrepin pecking order I don’t see them warranting a four figure sum. There are certain Lythe and Witcher reels which in my opinion do command that sort of cash though.
