The Palestinian delegate to the UNHRC has expressed the opinion that in attempting to warn civilians the Israelis are sticking to the letter of the law with their strikes, and that Hamas, in indiscriminately firing rockets at civilians, is not. I don't think he means to criticise his own side or praise the Israelis, that's just his view of their legal compliance.

Hmm a disclaimer, if i put warning "i may hit you" on the bumper of my car does it exclude me from blame if i mowed down a few pedestrians? LOL

 

Just where is safe in gaza when we know (but the UN fail to act on) any building with "UN " written on is first on the list for destruction as we have seen historicaly isreal both ignores UN mandates and counts UN bases as valid targets

lets face it virtually everybody ignores the UN.

If you think the Israelies will back down because of losing a few soldiers or UN pressure your seriously mistaken, its burnt into their collective memories what happened to them in WWII and they intend never to let it happen again be it at the hands of the arabs or anyone else.

No, but if you have sounded your horn and shouted that you are coming through, you might be considered to have made more effort than someone who is just rolling old cars down the hill into town and not caring where they end up!

Barry i know that is the case and i know that Hamas are still reacting but Isreali kids and adults are not dying are they. The political side now on whatever side has to stop its becoming a bloodbath. Yes, both can stop but the Isreali's are killing in masses . Another UN target with girls in was hit and they were killed.Isreal can handle the tunnels without blowing the rocket sites up as they are doing nothing anyway . As i said they are creating hundreds of martyres that will come back to haunt them later. If isreal stops now and Hamas carry on for a few more days with Rockets then the worlds opinion will swing back in their worlds favour as right now it's swinging against. Just give the carnage a rest even if hamas don't....Set an example!

You lot have nothing to worry about, the US has it's top spokesperson on the case. The 'gems of wisdom' that come out in a little under 9 minutes, have to be heard, to be believed.

unfortunately hamas are taking the moral high ground yet still state that there will be no ceasefire and the rockets continue. The fate of the Palestinians really are in their own hands. There is some other faction or what ever in the background willing to take over, it's all about control, certainly hamas with their attitude don't deserve to serve their people and they are not serving them, they are using them for their ideals.

It is about time this woman was put out of her misery and laid to rest.

It seems her popularity is waning, even in right wing America.

Let's agree to respect each others views, no matter how wrong yours may be.

Didn't know why both eygpt and Israel had banned cement until I saw a clip on the bbc this morning, cement is used to construct the tunnels from gaza into Israel, so hamas can go across and kill a few more. Silly me.
