Given that our Universe contains all the matter in existence and is also expanding at very nearly the speed of light, it obviously creates the space it's about to expand into.

Beyond the Universe is nothing but potential.

And headaches....

If that's right and all that matter is filling a bigger space, then why aren't I getting slimmer?

Angling is more than just catching fish, if it wasn't it would just be called 'catching'......... John

Or was it pushed? :)

Fishing seems to be my favorite form of loafing.

"Even a bad day of fishing is better than a good day of work."

I know the joy of fishes in the river through my own joy, as I go walking along the same river.

What do you think if the float does not dip, try again I think.

I've no problem in saying a simple 'yes', but I believe the philosopher Berkeley argued that things only exist in so far as they are perceived. Ronald Knox caricatured this position as follows:

There was a young man who said 'God

must think it exceedingly odd

if he finds that this tree

continues to be

when there's no-one about in the quad'.

I think the following reply may have been by Bertand Russell:

Dear sir, you're astonishment's odd

I am always about in the quad

And that's why this tree

will continue to be

since observed by, yours faithfully, God!

Ah - so the wives have beaten us there?

yeah, but Berkeley was a tit.

I refuse to believe my dog ceases to exist when he's not being watched, as he nicks food during the night.

Why is there only one monopolies commission ?

Did Adam and Eve have belly buttons ?

If they made a rocketship that travelled faster than the speed of light , could you watch yourself taking off ?

If 7-11 shops are open 24hrs a day , 365 days a year , why do they have locks on the doors ?
