Steve Irwin

I could say the same about those that pull fish out of the water, have a quick butchers, then put them back.

hey this is telly just how many takes did it take untill the crew was happy

"If somebody drags a snake across the land and upsets it a bit, surely this is worth while if it means an antedote is created or a remote village is freed of a threat to their lives.

Why will people take such an easy pop and slag somebody off for upsetting animals? Seems a bit soap-boxy to me. If handling an animal and showing it to the camera means children and adults that watch such things gain more respect for animals and their environment, then it's a very, very good thing - and is exactly what Steve Irwin did."

people have been living with snakes long before irwin intervened ,its telly mate and all things on telly are staged .i can see it now ,villager "blimey we have a snake ,lets send a messenger from our remote village in india to australia for help" or in reality they'd beat the crap out of it turn it into some sort of sellable item and get back to real life

"I think they have done really well...lets not forget that the Prehistoric Park is educational and fun for children (it's main target audience) and the Likes of Steve Irwin and (yes...The ginger twit) have given a new perspective on a much maligned animal species, ie Reptiles."

theres no education value in "catching" somethiing that doesent exist ,nor what it looked like bar from its skeleton ,nor know if or what noise it made nor how it would act ,not education pure rubbish ,and it was git not twit.its even happening in the movies !pure lies to children ,bulls with udders ,chickens with teeth ,were going to get a very confused generation.

on the other hand i do enjoy thunderbirds ,stingray and UFO ,why because their NOT pretending to be educational just stuff to watch.there a damn site better scripted too.

Believe NOTHING anyones says or writes unless you witness it yourself and even then your eyes can deceive you

None of this "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" crap it just means i have at least two enemies!

There is only one opinion i listen to ,its mine and its ALWAYS right even when its wrong

Its far easier to curse the darkness than light one candle

Actually though...on a serious note, Chesters made a good point...and I would like to point it out.

We dont know what Dinosaurs really looked/sounded like, and they should point that out in the credits!

Fair play to you!

It would appear the Stingrays venom was of little consequence, from what I've read the barb actually pierced his heart. How ironic that a guy who put his life at risk with deadly creatures so often should die in such a freakish way.

Great shame, he was an effective wildlife campaigner.

Only 14 deaths wordwide of stingray barbs and 2 in Australia; very, very low odds.

The bloke will be sorely missed. My condolences to Terri, Bindi and Bob, his immediate family.

oi oi,

you gotta feel for his family whatever your thoughts on steve ( personely i liked him ) but spare a thought for his best mate WES he will also be devastated over his death. god bless them.
