Rod Licence checks

We often discuss the EA and the National Rod Licence on this forum (as indeed do many other forums!)

It has been mentioned by many how little their licence has been checked.Surely this is one of the most basic tasks they should perform. How can fisheries rules and bye laws be inforced (including the main one of all anglers over 12 years of age being in possesion of one) if they do not enforce this?

I would be most gratefull and interested if as many members of this forum (wether you post regularly or not) could just take a few minutes to give the following information.

A) How long have you been fishing after the age of 12?

B) How many days a year do you fish?

C) How many times have you had your Rod Licence checked (by official WA/NRA/EA baillif as opposed to club baillif or fishery owner)?

To save time please just "Cut and Paste" the questions and enter your answers. Please dont turn this into a discussion thread and please the more people who will kindly take the time the more relevant the information gained will be.Many thanks.

Excellent Idea Budgie and it will make for some astounding reading.

A) How long have you been fishing after the age of 12? approx 30 years

B) How many days a year do you fish? At least once every week.

C) How many times have you had your Rod Licence checked (by official WA/NRA/EA bailiff as opposed to club bailiff or fishery owner)? Nearly always once a year, sometimes twice, but only ever in a match...NEVER when fishing on my own.

Budgie I am cutting and posting these questions on another forum (total fishing) I hope you do not mind mate.
