You may have noticed things are more expensive lately. And by “you may have noticed,” I mean you’ve definitely noticed, because they are, thanks to inflation. Plus, everyone’s talking about it, thanks to stress. From groceries to gas, prices are up on a multitude of items — including one particular consumer staple: eggs.

EGGs really !!!!!

Egg prices over the last weeks have seen a big increase , as always trade gets it first before the consumer but you wouldn’t have a clue about that .while you have a couple for breakfast when you dealing in hundreds a day the price means everything even in Penny’s.
So eggs prices  rocket in the US as bird flu spreads and it all works together  prices globally goes up and down .

You made your tax claim before, and you still haven't responded to my point that it's BS. It only takes a moment to look up the income tax rates of the 50's and 60's.

Your claims about supposedly "stable food prices" while we were in the EU are equally suspect, not only because your primary assertion that current inflation levels are something to do with Brexit is demonstrably false, but because once again, we can simply go look and see that inflation was at 24% in 1975, while we were in the EU, inflation was at 18% in 1980, while we were in the EU, and inflation was at 9.5% in 1990, while we were in the EU.

Those were the highest rates from each decade, but the numbers for every year are easy to find.

Of course anyone with a brain cell will consider that tweaks along the way are needed to finance a certain criteria, such as NHS.

Would you prefer that this should be neglected and therefore result in suffering and death? Well maybe you and yours might, meanwhile let the elected and best suited administration get on with making such decisions while you continue to snipe and sneer.

I wouldnt worry about a 2p rise in 6 months of a dozen eggs (not quite your 50%) i would be more worried  about the price of cooking them
