Bob Geldof makes me sick. He was on the tele the other night saying that if the politicians f*** him over at the G8 summit, he'll make sure they lose their next election! That man really believes that he's actually a real saint! And why Africa? Maybe he feels it's fashionable to throw money at third world dictators so they can buy more arms to kill more people.

If he wants to do so much for Africa, why doesn't he f*** off over there for good? And take all his publicity hungry, ponsy mates with him. Maybe they could take a rifle each and get rid of Mugabe if they really wanted to help African people.

Steve ...Totally agree with you on this.....I live mibbes 15miles from Gleneagles and i'm dreading the coming few days... :( We (as a family unit) have had recourse to deal with a police constable over the last few days...he was due to make contact with us today....he didnt...when we /I called the police station this afternoon to find out what was going on....we were told, he has had to attend a SERIOUS incident......Of course it was nothing to do with the fleets of helicopters flying over our house from Cummbernauld Airport, heading north ...for.....guess where......

its outrageous  seeing as poverty and death IS africa's export (its earned them a trillion pounds in the last 50 years) ,once this good money earning product is gone what ARE they going to live on

Cranfield:

If it wasn't for LiveAid, the second rate Pop Star Bob Geldorf (Designer Scruff), would have been forgotten about years ago.

Could say similer thing about anyone and the last thing they did which has helped keep them in the public eye. The fact is Geldorf did do live aid and because of that he is remembered and now he will be remembered for this weeks activities.

As a gig, I thought it was deply flawed. There were simply to many acts with the sets being way too short to get people grooving.

It would have definatly been better with sets of between three and five songs insted of one to three.

The Killers having a full stage set up to come on and play one track was a bit of a joke.

The nearest they came to a Queen moment was Robbie or The Who and both only got to play three tracks - still I supose they could have crammed at least one more song in if they'd got rid of that Peter Kaye idiot.

50,000 kids a day dying in Africa alone ? Can you imagine the results if there was none ? When youve figured out how to feed and support them and control all the resulting pollution etc etc etc etc inform the G8
